The website is the Project Portfolio of creative producer, Frank Harlan. The elements featured in the PRE-Y2K links historically documents different periods of his past work as a pioneer in music television and live performance throughout his eclectic career as a comedic performance artist and master of ceremony.
One of his most well-known projects was a weekly television series known as Bomb Shelter Videos that he produced and hosted from1984-1992 under his pseudonym, Bill Bored. CLICK HERE to see preserved episodes of the show on YouTube.
"OG Influencer and Creative with an extensive history interactive entertainment concepts. Reuniting with the past, Pre-Y2K to provide a fresh perspective."
On a side note, dude is old now. And semi-retired... However, he chooses to continue to evolve as a human being. Thus allowing him continue to find ways to employee his creative skills and inspirations in a variety of mediums. Thanks to the technology, Harlan's side hustle these days is Print On Demand Books and Merch.
His series of interactive book titles are insane ways to capture the imagination of friends, strangers and in some books yourself. His The Circulating Guest Book for Weddings and Adult Milestone Birthdays is getting a lot of attention. Seasonal Titles like MY SUMMER INTENSIVE, THANKS COACH! and End of the School Year Autograph Books for Teachers are Gift Books like no other.
What started this whole "Book Thing" was the lack of a contemporary Autograph Book available to me. Treating the idea of an Autograph Book like only little kids going to Disneyland would ever have a need for one. Harlan says, "I've created the Sports Fanatic Autograph books for fans of any kind of athlete and Autograph Books for anyone who love music, theatre, dance, pop-culture festival, comic and anime conventions." Truth be known, dude's a geek.
Since 2009, Frank has worked full-time as a Certified Humanist Celebrant, producing and performing hundreds of non-religious weddings for couples of all genders. In 2025 hosted a series of Celebrant Training Webinars for The Humanist Society.
"Harlan is always in forward motion."
If you know anything about Frank Harlan, you know he's not one to rest on his laurels. Harlan is a passionate Creative who is always engaged in doing something, learning something, or thinking about something. And sometimes just crashing in the middle of the living room floor for an afternoon nap with the family dogs; Lulu, and Tallulah.
